Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math Teacher to join our team at EC Middle / High School. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts, foster critical thinking skills, and encourage a love for learning. This full-time position requires a commitment to academic excellence and the ability to engage students in a dynamic learning environment.Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards.- Teach a variety of math subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and Statistics, to high school students.- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.- Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and progress.- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum changes.- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.- Supervise and mentor students, providing guidance and support as needed.- Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and events.Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.- Valid teaching certification or license in Mathematics for high school level.- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and effective teaching strategies.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for students.- Experience in teaching high school mathematics preferred.- Proficiency in using educational technology and software.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
