UGI Corporation has paid common dividends for more than 135 consecutive years.Job SummaryWe are seeking a seasoned Communications Consultant with a strong business acumen and an exceptional command of written language. This individual will serve as a critical communications partner across multiple departments and business units, crafting clear, compelling, and strategically aligned employee communications. The ideal candidate brings a journalist's instinct for story, a diplomat's skill for navigating complex organizational dynamics, and the professional maturity to work independently while maintaining the judgment to know when to seek guidance and alignment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and write high-quality employee communications on behalf of multiple departments, business units, and senior leadershipManage and distribute communications via Poppulo and other internal platforms, ensuring accurate targeting, formatting, and schedulingPartner with stakeholders to understand messaging goals, translate complex information into clear language, and ensure consistent voice and toneConduct stakeholder interviews and intake meetings to extract key messages, including navigating conversations with challenging or non-communicative partnersMaintain editorial calendars and manage multiple communications projects simultaneously with minimal supervisionProactively identify potential messaging gaps or sensitivities and escalate them appropriately before distributionCoordinate with HR, Legal, Finance, Operations, Facilities and other functions and Business Units to ensure accuracy and compliance in all communicationsCheck in regularly with leadership to ensure strategic alignment and adjust messaging as business priorities evolveKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesExceptional written communication skills with an acute attention to grammar, clarity and toneStrong editorial judgment — ability to simplify complexity without sacrificing accuracyDemonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and daily workloadComfort asking direct, probing questions diplomatically to obtain necessary information from stakeholdersHigh degree of professional maturity, discretion, and emotional intelligence in all interactionsEducation and ExperienceThis is a 1099 contract role for 3-6 months with potential to convert.
