Job Description
Work ArrangementHybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate isexpected to report to Warren, Michigan three times per week. This may change in thefuture. The RoleThis individual will be responsible for throughput analysis and simulation ofmanufacturing systems, material delivery systems, and vehicles for current and newvehicle programs throughout all phases of the Global Vehicle Development Process.This individual will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering centers in the design andoptimization of current and future manufacturing systems and will support plants inthroughput and material flow improvement initiatives. What You'll Do (Responsibilities)• Implement simulation deliverables for assigned new/major vehicle programs.• Run analyses experiments, interpret results, and generate standard reports,including results and potential improvements.• Respond to throughput and material flow simulation pulls from assignedmanufacturing facilities.• Support ME optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.• Extract necessary inputs from Manufacturing Planning Engineering documents.• Coordinate with MSIE, GA, Conveyor, IE, and Material organizations.• Utilize and contribute to the improvement of standardized work and lessonslearned.• Deliver results to customers.• Interface with Execution and Process Leads to support total plant throughputstrategy.• Interface with Execution and Process teams to validate update Data Sets.• Support development refinement of station level data.• Occasional travel (5–10%). Your Skills Abilities (Required Qualifications)• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.• 2+ years of engineering or manufacturing experience.• 2+ years of experience with discrete event simulation. • Familiarity with Theory of Constraints.• High level of communication and people skills.• Ability to meet short and long term deadlines while keeping organized amidstvarying projects and multi-plant assignments.• High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Principles. What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)• Experience in vehicle assembly manufacturing facilities.• Experience with CDraw2 or Siemens Plant Simulation software.• Experience with the Throughput Improvement Process, methods and tools.• Experience applying Theory of Constraints to improve manufacturing processes.• Experience with discrete event simulation software.• Experience writing code in VBA or Siemens Plant Simulation SimTalk.• Experience with statistical analysis of data sets.• Experience with material flow analysis and simulation of delivery systems.Company DescriptionBranex Group is a Minority-owned Technical Staffing firm headquartered in Auburn Hills, MI.
