Apply today and let’s create memorable guest experiences together!POSITION SUMMARY: The Host at one of Oxford’s luxury or boutique-style hotels is the first point of contact for guests at the restaurant and hotel catering functions, ensuring a welcoming and organized dining experience. This role is responsible for greeting and seating guests, directing traffic flow, bussing tables, taking orders, serving food, and processing payments, all while maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards. The Host plays a key role in striving to meet and exceed Four-Star service standards delivering high-quality service and amenities with strong attention to detail, ensuring excellence in every guest interaction, and consistently exceeding expectations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.Guest Relations (60%):Welcome guests with a polished and professional demeanor, creating a memorable first impression Always provide a high level of customer service, taking time with our guests to ensure every aspect of their stay delivers a luxurious experienceManage reservations using the hotel’s reservation system with accuracy and attention to guest preferences and VIP statusesSeat Guests, offer menus and clear additional place settings Take customer orders, communicate special needs and allergies to staff as neededMaintain knowledge of menus and specials, anticipating guest needs, delivering personalized, luxury-level serviceHandle guest complaints, requests, and concerns with professionalism and discretion, using the Oxford Collection guest recovery, and service gestures consistent with Forbes service standards Answer all incoming calls and communicate with guests in a manner that strives to meet and exceed Forbes Four-Star standardsAccurately use POS systems as neededMaintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with both internal and external guestsFood and Beverage Service (30%):Serve food as needed while upholding the standards and etiquette of luxury hospitality in both demeanor and service deliveryAssist in food prep as needed including coffee or teaBuss and clean tables after each guest useMonitor and maintain cleanliness of all hotel food and beverage outlets (i.e., table, utensils, glassware, condiments)Clean and mop floors, vacuum and dustPerform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, food safety and sanitation requirements and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards and security procedures. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations.
