Join a well-developed community-based hospital Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry team. Our team includes a Psychiatrist, medical social worker, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Consult requests come from the patient's physician; nursing staff, social workers, family member, or the patient can request the C&L service.This service has been in operation for the past 22 plus years, with well-developed protocols and integration into training a variety of residents and NP/PA from local training programs. Specific responsibilities include: Provides C & L psychiatric services on acute care campus. The successful candidate will meet the following criteria: Board certified psychiatrist licensed or pending in the State of Michigan. Specialty Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychosomatic Medicine preferred. Previous Administrative or leadership experience preferred. Must be committed to the provision of excellent and quality patient care. Details on the Position:-Location: Central Michigan-Ideal start date: December 2017-Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8a-5p-Call: Rotation 1:4 weekend and 1 day per week-Patients: 100% adult, 100% inpatient, 5-10 per day-Hospital: Nonprofit, community based, 389 beds, EMR system Cerner-Comprehensive team: Psychiatrist, medical social workers, psychiatric nurse, nurse practitioner-Community: Traditional city life, integrated with lively school spirit of a college town
