MTS1 Software Engineer, Android
Overview
As a member of eBay’s Homepage Native Engineering team, you will own native Android features end-to-end at scale, collaborating with product, design, and backend partners. You’ll influence architecture and deliver high-impact discovery experiences that drive engagement and commerce. You’ll tackle complex, high-traffic modules and contribute to modular architecture and engineering excellence. This role offers a chance to shape the Android experience for hundreds of millions of buyers while growing technically and cross-functionally.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver native Android features end-to-end, including testing, deployment, and production support, with emphasis on ownership and quality.Contribute to architecture decisions for the Homepage Android experience in line with mobile platform strategy.Lead and drive complex projects across milestones, identify risks, and collaborate across functions to keep delivery on track.Improve engineering velocity through reusable components, tooling, and better patterns in the Android codebase.Mentor teammates, enforce coding standards, and raise the engineering bar through code and build reviews.Share knowledge with the team and broader Android community to promote continuous learning and technical excellence.
