Location: Princeton, NJSalary: $65.00 USD Hourly - $70.00 USD HourlyDescription: Data Modeler with Property and Casualty InsuranceLocation: Princeton, NJ (Hybrid - Onsite/Hybrid)Duration: 6-12 MonthsMust be able to work on our w2 directly without sponsorship.Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong Insurance domain expertise to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level data models. This role supports underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, and analytics initiatives. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate complex insurance requirements into scalable, compliant data models.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for insurance systems and data platformsPartner with business analysts, underwriters, actuaries, claims, billing, and IT teams to gather and refine data requirementsModel core insurance entities including Policy, Coverage, Risk, Claim, Exposure, Party, Billing, and ReinsuranceSupport data modeling for transactional systems, data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platformsEnsure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and data governance policiesDefine data definitions, business rules, relationships, and metadataSupport data integration, migration, and modernization initiatives (including legacy-to-cloud transformations)Review and optimize data models for performance, scalability, and data qualityCollaborate with data engineers and developers during implementationParticipate in design reviews, impact analysis, and documentationRequired QualificationsTechnical Skills Strong experience in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical)Proficiency with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, Sparx EA, or similarStrong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas)Experience with data integration and ETL processesExposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) is a plusInsurance Domain Expertise (Mandatory) Hands-on experience in Property & Casualty (P&C), Life, Annuity, or ReinsuranceStrong understanding of:Policy lifecycle (Quote ? Bind ? Issue ? Endorse ?
