Woburn Public Schools Job DescriptionDistrict Data & Accountability Manager for Student ServicesThis position is responsible for overseeing aspects of District Student Data, including the integration of Special Programs and Enrollment with the SIS. The District Data & Accountability Manager will act as a liaison between the Student Services Department and the Technology Department, and may support the Curriculum Department with data tracking and dashboards. The District Data & Accountability Manager will have a lead role in developing procedures, training staff, and compiling data for public-facing presentations. This role requires a high level of initiative, confidentiality, and independent judgment.Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Student Services and Director of Technology & InnovationWork Year: 12 months (Non-Union) Individual contract.Salary: $85,000 - $100,000, depending on qualifications and experience.Principal Responsibilities:Create and maintain standard operating procedures for capturing data in the Student Information System (SIS) to ensure accurate state reporting, particularly for students with disabilities.Oversee synchronization of data between the SIS, Special Programs, and Enrollment systems; troubleshoot issues as needed.Provide building leadership and Central Office with data trends, analyses, and presentation materials for School Committee and other public meetings.Support the Student Services Department with end-of-year and beginning-of-year system management, including rollover processes, rosters, and scheduling.Assist the Student Services Office with student information reporting and data analysis.Manage staff security settings and access within Special Programs.Collaborate with Student Services and the Technology Department on technical requests (e.g., iPads, AAC devices, apps).Oversee and maintain Student Services FM systems, vision equipment, and other specialized equipment.Provide professional development and training to staff as needed.Support the collection and preparation of data for grants and/or data dashboards.Assist with data extracts and system integrations across multiple platforms.Support administration with complex SIS issues, including scheduling, attendance, and discipline data.Develop comprehensive documentation of data flows, including data elements and synchronization conditions for software integrations.Participate in projects to design, implement, modify, and optimize databases and related software solutions.Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to the evolving needs of schools.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityDemonstrated expertise with Student Information Systems and Massachusetts DESE state reportingStrong knowledge of Massachusetts special education regulations.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.Ability to learn new data processing, data visualization, and related technology tools.Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Exceptional attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Commitment to cultural humility, as well as advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.At the Woburn Public Schools, we are committed to cultivating an environment where diverse perspectives and backgrounds are embraced.
