Power Systems Studies Engineer - Data CentersRemote A leading engineering consultancy focused on mission‑critical infrastructure is expanding its data center power systems studies team and is looking for engineers with hands‑on experience conducting electrical studies for data center environments.This role is intentionally open to early‑ to mid‑career engineers - candidates with 3-4 years of direct power system studies experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as long as they are actively performing studies today.What You'll Be DoingPerform power system studies for data center electrical systems, including: Short‑circuit analysisArc flash analysisProtective device coordinationBuild and maintain detailed electrical models using SKM Power*Tools and ETAP (minimum required)Review data center electrical one‑lines, equipment schedules, and protection schemesPrepare clear, client‑facing study reports and recommendationsCoordinate with electrical design engineers, commissioning teams, and clients to support live and planned data center facilitiesWhat the Team Is Looking For3+ years of hands‑on power system studies experience (3-4 years is perfectly acceptable if studies are a core part of your role)Required: working experience with SKM and ETAPBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldFamiliarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, and data center reliability conceptsExperience with mission‑critical or data center environments is a strong plus (UPS systems, generators, MV/LV distribution, redundant architectures, etc.)Why This RoleStrong focus on data center power systems - not a diluted general design roleOpportunity to specialize deeply in studies for mission‑critical facilitiesCollaborative team environment with experienced power systems engineersClear technical growth path as data center demand continues to scale
