Utility Porter - Stewarding (Part Time)

We are, so if you want to feel excited on your way to work and can't wait to be a part of Service Luxury Style this could be the job for you.JOB FOCUS:Focus is on, but not limited to the following:Must love and support their staff!Must love and take care of guests!Must say "yes" and "thank you" often!Maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipmentMonitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areasAdheres to all Health Department, sanitation and safety regulationsMaintains cleanliness and organization of supply/storage closets; removes trash, wipes down shelves/counters; cleans floors; removes items which do not belong and place in correct areasInspects the cleanliness and condition of all washed equipment and areas; re-cleans items not meeting standardsPerforms duties as a Kitchen Worker and Stove Cleaner as neededUses correct cleaning chemicals for designated items, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirementsChecks the working condition of equipment and machinery in accordance with specificationsCleans designated equipmentStores cleaned equipment in designated areasHandles all glasswares carefully to prevent breakage and lossMaintains cleanliness and working condition of garbage disposal and grease trapsMaintains cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout shiftStocks kitchen lines, restaurant service areas and buffet line with designated cleaned wares, utensils and equipmentCleans all stoves in assigned area, including tops of stoves and ovensCleans all grills, flat tops, hood units and all gas pipes connected to stoves and under all unitsCleans and dries all refrigeration units in stove areaCleans spills in the kitchen and work areas immediatelyUses designated chemicals, supplies and equipment to clean various floor surfaces (brooms, mops, stripper, buffer, etc.)Transports mats to the loading dock and ensures they are cleanTransports garbage containers from the kitchen and work areas to dumpsterCleans garbage compactor and area as assignedReports any damages, maintenance problems or safety hazards to the supervisorDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Has at least 1 year of experience working in a kitchenMust be at least 18 years of age or olderAble to work in a climate controlled environmentHas working knowledge of necessary equipment used in the kitchenHas working knowledge about health and safety regulationsHas working knowledge of all cleaning equipmentAble to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidaysAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
