Together, Axia Women's Health puts women first by delivering the personalized care needed for women to lead healthier, happier lives.We are currently recruiting a PSR/Medical Receptionist in West Caldwell, NJThe Patient Service Representative (PSR) will have exemplary customer service and communication skills as the first and last point of contact for Axia Women’s Health patients visiting the office and for patients calling to schedule or change appointments or making other requests.Essential Functions:Greeting patients and visitors, assisting, and directing them accordingly to the appropriate waiting areaPaging or phoning appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam roomExplaining financial requirements to patients, collecting, and recording copayments/coinsurance as required. Preauthorization for surgical proceduresScheduling surgeries, caesarean sections and inductionsPerforming registration functions for new and existing patients and activating patient filesPromptly and professionally answering and routing calls to appropriate personnel, paging, offering voicemail, or redirecting calls as neededRetrieving and appropriately routing any messages from the answering serviceProviding additional support to patients and medical staff and performing other duties as assignedCourteously screening solicitors for relevance to organizational needsAdhering to infection control and safety guidelines as well as maintaining confidentiality regarding all patients and following confidentiality policies per HIPAA compliancePerforming other duties as assignedCMA is a plusQualities & Skills:Excellent customer service skills & communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs. Ability to maintain composure and navigate a fast-paced, innovative environment. Team player. Ability to work 40 hours per week. Ability to work a flexible schedule.
