This role is critical to our leadership team—responsible for ensuring our equipment, our people, and the public are protected through best-in-class maintenance practices.You’ll oversee shop operations, lead and develop technicians, and drive a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.What You’ll Do:Lead & InspireChampion Jetco’s culture and lead by exampleDevelop, coach, and support technicians, and support staffFoster a high-performance, safety-first environmentDrive Safety & ComplianceEnsure full compliance with DOT, OSHA, and state regulationsMaintain inspection schedules and prevent out-of-service eventsPromote safe, clean, and organized shop operationsOwn Fleet PerformanceOversee all maintenance and repair activities across the fleetPrioritize repairs based on DVIRs and operational needsEnsure preventive maintenance programs are executed flawlesslyMinimize downtime and maximize equipment reliabilityManage Operations & BudgetTrack and manage maintenance expenses and shop budgetApprove purchases and oversee parts inventoryPartner with Operations to ensure seamless communication and equipment readinessStay Ahead of the CurveImplement and support new technologies (TPMS, Predictive Maintenance, etc). Monitor trends, identify improvements, and drive process efficiencyEnsure accurate maintenance data and reportingWhat Success Looks Like100% on-time inspections and regulatory complianceReduced downtime and improved fleet availabilityStrong team engagement and developmentClear communication across Maintenance, Operations, and LeadershipA clean, safe, and audit-ready shop at all timesWhat You Bring5+ years in truck maintenance/repair (leadership experience preferred)Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and fleet compliance standardsExperience with maintenance systems/softwareProficiency in Microsoft OfficeA proactive, solutions-oriented mindsetStrong communication and leadership skillsDay-to-Day SnapshotReview and prioritize DVIR repairsMonitor out-of-service equipment and provide status updatesCoordinate with Operations on equipment availabilityEnsure accurate documentation and system updatesSupport technicians and troubleshoot complex issuesPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and move throughout the dayAbility to lift up to 50 lbsClear communication and situational awareness in a shop environmentWhy Jetco?Because here, maintenance isn’t just about fixing trucks—it’s about driving performance, protecting people, and powering our customers’ success.
