This role is ideal for a professional who understands the administrative and regulatory demands of MSHDA-funded projects and is comfortable managing work in occupied renovation environments.While a wide range of project types is not required, candidates must be committed to the nature of this work and interested in continuing within this specialized space long term.What You’ll Do:Manage construction projects with a strong focus on MSHDA and LIHTC compliance requirementsOversee and coordinate occupied renovation projects, ensuring safety, communication, and minimal disruptionPrepare, review, and submit required documentation, reports, and compliance materials accurately and on timeMaintain detailed project records and ensure adherence to all regulatory, funding, and reporting standardsManage project schedules, budgets, and financial reporting, ensuring timely updates and transparencyIdentify and resolve design, construction, and scheduling issues as they ariseEngage in business development by supporting proposals, presentations, and client relationship buildingTravel frequently to projects throughout Michigan (typically 1-1.5 hours from Grand Rapids but can be further project dependent). Coordinate with owners, developers, inspectors, contractors, and internal teamsUtilize project management and reporting tools to track progress and ensure accuracyIdeal Candidate: Strong understanding of construction compliance, documentation, and reporting requirements. Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven. Comfortable with administrative and reporting responsibilities as a major component of the role. Tech‑savvy; proficient with project management software and reporting tools. Strong organizational and communication skills. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent experience3 years of commercial construction project management experienceExperience with MSHDA-funded projects preferred but not required. Occupied renovation experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with LIHTC projects preferred but not required. Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
