We're looking for a Project Manager to spearhead business development efforts, manage long-term client relationships, and contribute to our continued growth in the Des Moines, Iowa area.Job SummaryThe Project Manager ensures the successful execution of projects by overseeing all aspects of planning, coordination, and implementation. This role requires leadership, effective communication, and problem-solving skills to deliver quality results on time and within budget. The Project Manager is pivotal in building strong customer relationships and fostering a collaborative team environment while driving operational excellence across all assigned projects.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesTakes accountability to deliver the project.Lead assigned field staff through the completion of awarded projects.Create and maintain a team environment to promote high performance.Demonstrate ability to lead a team to achieve customer satisfaction.Advise and support project personnel.Lead through vision while keeping company core values front and center.ResponsibilitiesProvide and manage a clear scope of workProvide expert knowledge of systems, installations, and applications to resolve issues and train other staffProvide complete & timely proposals based on the bid set of documents or customer's needsCoordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to create and schedule contracted projectsCreate and manage communication plan for each projectManage staffing for projects to ensure timely completionManage and oversee required project documentation through project completionManage project phase handoff meetings through project closeoutOversee work in progress and monitor job performanceReview job costs to ensure project is on budgetReview and submit project forecasting and billingLead / attend project meetingsSell services by estimating and bidding on new construction, remodels, retrofits, modifications, and upgradesDetermine and coordinate accurate project material orderFacilitate and oversee customer trainingEnsure customer needs and expectations are met at project completionContinued development of customer relationshipsParticipate with industry trade organizationsReview and update operations SOPsOther duties as assignedEssential Key Performance Indicators (KPI)Process Followed by AllJob Completion TimelinessGross MarginField staff performanceProject QualityEffectivenessCustomer SatisfactionRisk ManagementRequirementsAssociate's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.Minimum of 3 years' experience in the construction industry or building automation systems.Effective and proven leadership skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proven and effective time management.Extensive understanding of blueprints and specifications.Knowledge of multiple products and services and their applications.Proficient at estimating labor and materials for construction projects.Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Visio.Strong keyboarding and computer functionality.Ability to pass customer-required background checks for facility admittance.Valid driver's license.Ability to travel regionally.Physical RequirementsAbility to travel daily to client locations and work sites.Level 1: Sedentary work with occasional walking and/or standing on uneven or unimproved surfaces.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 poundsWhy Basepoint Building Automations:Basepoint was built on the belief that the best companies are owned by the people who show up every day to do the work.
