Refurbishing Technician

Job Description Location: [Elgin, IL Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour (depending on experience) Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:45 PMPosition OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented Refurbishing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will test, repair, and upgrade electronic equipment to ensure all units meet quality standards before shipment.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting electronics, and working in a fast-paced production environment.Key Responsibilities• Test and refurbish electronic equipment according to customer requirements• Update firmware and upgrade components such as memory, hard drives, and CPUs• Work with equipment including PCs, scanners, printers, POS systems, tablets, and battery backups• Follow repair orders and technical instructions carefully• Use diagnostic software to troubleshoot equipment• Verify parts and equipment before beginning repairs• Report shortages or issues promptly• Complete orders accurately and meet shipping deadlinesQualifications• Strong attention to detail• Ability to follow technical instructions• Comfortable working with electronic equipment• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)• Ability to multitask and manage time effectivelyRequirements• Fluent in English• Bilingual is a plusPay$18.00 – $23.00 per hour depending on experience.
