CNC Machinist - USALocation: TexasJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $80,000-$105,000Equity: BenchmarkedRole Overview:Program, set and run advanced CNC machines to deliver high-precision components for aerospace, defence, energy and robotics customers.You will own the full machining lifecycle — from CAM programming and first article prove-out to cycle time optimisation and repeat production — helping build the most efficient factory in the network.This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who takes pride in tight tolerances, clean setups, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Program, simulate and optimise CNC toolpaths (3-axis, 5-axis and mill-turn where applicable)Set, prove-out and run jobs to aerospace and defence standardsReduce cycle times and improve machine utilisationDesign and improve fixturing strategiesSelect tooling and cutting parameters for challenging materials (e.g. aluminium, steels, titanium, Inconel)Maintain high quality standards and ensure first-time-right manufacturingSupport new part introduction (NPI) from drawing to productionContribute to DFM feedback for customersWork closely with engineering and MasonOS software teams to improve data capture, scheduling and automationStandardise programming approaches across sites as we scaleRequired Skills:Strong CAM programming experience (e.g. Fusion, Hypermill, Mastercam or equivalent)Proven ability to machine tight tolerances (±0.01mm and below where required)Experience setting and running high-end CNC machines (e.g. Hermle, DMG Mori, Mazak or similar)Deep understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling strategy and workholdingExperience in aerospace, defence or other high-spec industries preferredAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&TComfortable working in a fast-moving, high-ownership environmentNice To Haves:5-axis simultaneous machining experienceExperience with probing, automation or pallet systemsKnowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 quality systemsInterest in robotics, factory automation and data-driven manufacturingWhat We Offer:Work on mission-critical aerospace and defence componentsAccess to advanced machine tools and evolving automationEquity participation in a scaling factory networkOpportunity to influence programming standards across sitesHigh-performance culture focused on continuous improvementAbout Isembard:Isembard is on a mission to forge industrial acceleration.
