System Administrator

This role sits onsite 5 days. 2-3 times a month you will need to work out of their Datacenter in White Plains NY.Summary:This role manages a broad range of critical IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, VMware, and physical hardware in both on‑site and offsite datacenters. You’ll work closely with the CTO, Engineering, Data teams, and other system administrators to define requirements, build reliable internal systems, support diverse technologies, and help shape IT and cybersecurity policy. The position also includes prioritizing and routing support tickets to ensure efficient issue resolution. We’re looking for a forward‑thinking Systems Administrator with strong technical depth and vision for infrastructure evolution.Required:Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Teams, and MFAEnterprise Linux administrationVMware vSphere experienceStrong understanding of email flow, security, spam/malware filtering, and DLPSolid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and firewall managementScripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automationHands‑on physical server experience (racking, cabling, diagnostics, component replacement)Strong problem‑solving and communication skillsProficiency in server hardware installation, configuration, and maintenancePreferred:Degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years managing enterprise‑level infrastructureExperience with AWS or AzureExperience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools
