Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer Location: Manchester, CT. We’re partnered with a company building aircraft differently- combining modern engineering tools, automation, and a production-first mindset to design and scale propulsion systems faster and more efficiently than traditional aerospace.They’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to focus on propulsion hardware, including propellers, rotating assemblies, and composite blade tooling.This is a hands-on role with direct involvement in getting hardware designed, built, tested, and into production.What you’ll do:Design and develop propulsion system components and assembliesOwn parts from concept through to production releaseCreate detailed CAD models and production drawings (GD&T)Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure designs are scalable and cost-effectiveSupport prototype builds, tooling trials, and root cause investigationsWork closely with manufacturing and suppliers to industrialise componentsProvide hands-on support during assembly, integration, and testingWhat they’re looking for:4+ years of mechanical engineering experienceStrong CAD capability (SolidWorks or similar)Experience releasing parts into production environmentsGood understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, moulding, etc.)Comfortable working closely with shop floor teamsPractical, problem-solving mindset with a bias toward executionNice to have: Propellers, rotating equipment, or turbomachineryComposite materials or tooling designAerospace or aviation systemsThis role suits engineers who want to move quickly, take ownership, and see their work translate into real, production hardware.If that sounds relevant, please apply for more details.
