Pain Management Physician Assistant – Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)We are seeking a licensed Physician Assistant – Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a thriving, physician-led outpatient pain management practice in Clovis, New Mexico. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity with an immediate start date, offering one of the strongest compensation packages in the region for this specialty. This role is ideal for a PA-C or NP who is passionate about improving quality of life for chronic and acute pain patients, comfortable with controlled substance prescribing, and eager to develop procedural skills in an outpatient setting. New graduates are welcome — experienced mentors are on staff.Position Details- Specialty: Pain Management / Medication Management- Setting: Outpatient clinic — no hospital rounding, no inpatient duties- Schedule: Monday through Thursday | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | No weekends, no on-call- Employment Type: Full-Time (FTE) or Part-Time- Location: Clovis, New Mexico (Curry County) — near Cannon Air Force Base- Start Date: As soon as credentialed- Experience: Open to new graduates and experienced cliniciansResponsibilitiesEvaluate and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic pain conditions in an outpatient environmentPrescribe opioid analgesics and other controlled substances within evidence-based, protocol-driven guidelinesPerform or train to perform corticosteroid injections and therapeutic Botox injections under physician supervisionConduct comprehensive medication management visits, including risk assessments and PDMP complianceDevelop individualized treatment plans integrating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain management approachesCollaborate with a team of 15+ PAs, NPs, and RNs under the supervision of 3 board-certified physiciansDocument patient encounters accurately and efficiently; AI-assisted scribe support availableEducate patients and caregivers on pain management strategies, safe opioid use, and treatment expectationsParticipate in continuing medical education (CME) and ongoing procedural skills developmentQualificationsActive or pending New Mexico PA-C license (NCCPA certified) or NP license (FNP, AGACNP, AGNP, or PMHNP)DEA registration or eligibility to obtain a DEA number for Schedule II–V controlled substance prescribingComfort with and willingness to prescribe opioid pain medications in a responsible, protocol-driven practiceStrong clinical assessment and critical thinking skillsExcellent interpersonal and patient communication skills; compassionate, patient-centered approachWillingness to practice in Clovis, NM — relocation assistance availablePreferred:- Prior experience in pain management, anesthesia, primary care, urgent care, orthopedics, or emergency medicine- Experience with or interest in performing musculoskeletal injections, trigger point injections, or Botox- Familiarity with PDMP monitoring, opioid prescribing policies, and chronic pain treatment protocols- Bilingual English/Spanish — a plus but not required- Electronic health record (EHR) proficiencyCompensation & Benefits- Base Salary: $120,000 – $170,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications- Performance Bonus: 10% annual bonus incentive- Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision coverage- Retirement: 401(k) plan- Paid Time Off: 120 hours (3 weeks)- CME: Annual continuing medical education allowance covered- Malpractice Insurance: Fully covered — no tail coverage required- AI Scribe & CE Subscription: Annual subscription provided for qualifying providers- Clinical Support: Dedicated 1:1 Medical Assistant per provider- Relocation: Relocation or travel reimbursement availableWhy Clovis, New Mexico?Clovis is an affordable, tight-knit community on the eastern plains of New Mexico — home to Cannon Air Force Base (27th Special Operations Wing) and a welcoming professional environment.
