The ingenuity of our developers, engineers, cyber experts, linguists, and analysts are dedicated to empowering our clients, fulfilling The Mission, and remaining trusted leaders and advisers in national security and technology solutions.We are looking for a Software Engineer 3 to join a dynamic team in Annapolis Junction, MD.We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer level 3 to support the development of advanced data processing and analysis solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting and software development skills, with experience working across diverse data formats and system-level technologies.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain software solutions using Object-Oriented Perl and other scripting languagesDevelop and optimize Bash scripts and command-line pipelines to support data processing workflowsUtilize Docker to build, modify, and manage containerized applications and environmentsAnalyze, parse, and manipulate a variety of file system structures and formats, including executables, registry hives, SQLite databases, LevelDB, Apple plists, and XMLWrite and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysisCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and efficient solutionsSupport system integration, testing, and troubleshooting across development environmentsContribute to front-end components as needed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptEnsure code quality through testing, documentation, and adherence to best practicesRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 20+ years of relevant experience, or 25+ years of experience in lieu of a degreeStrong experience with Object-Oriented PerlProficiency in Bash scripting and Linux command-line environmentsExperience with Docker and containerized developmentSolid understanding of file systems and low-level data structuresExperience analyzing and parsing complex data/file formatsProficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queriesWorking knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScriptUS citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance requiredThe Swift Group and Subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
