Family Resource Worker

Providing training and support for foster parents to ensure preparedness for licensure; facilitating the licensing process and providing coordination and administrative support to both the Program Manager and families to secure licenses for foster homes; and assuming full responsibility for foster care recruitment, including all associated duties and functions. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: conducting licensing studies for prospective and current foster parents; completing annual reassessments and license renewals; providing training and support to foster parents to ensure all licensure requirements are met; maintaining family resource files in compliance with Helix Human Services and EEC standards, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date; leading and managing foster care recruitment activities; and providing support and assistance to the Program Manager and Case Managers as needed. Helix Human Services provides Comprehensive Foster Care (CFC), a unique program through which foster families provide a home to one or two children and/or adolescents in need of more support. Hiring Full Time / Hybrid Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field with a minimum of three years relevant experience.Licensed social worker or license eligible.Valid driver's license.Ability to work cooperatively and closely with DCF and collateral agencies, must have Knowledge of Hampden County.Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication.Comfortable working with diverse teams.Bilingual required.
