Hardware Design Engineer

Job Title: Hardware Design EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain PCB layouts for 4, 6, and 8 layer boards. You will create schematics, symbols, footprints, and complete PCB documentation packages. Collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and firmware teams is essential to ensure cohesive system-level design. The role involves performing component selection, placement optimization, and signal-integrity-aware routing while maintaining version control and documentation for all PCB design assets.Responsibilities+ Design, develop, and maintain PCB layouts for 4, 6, and 8 layer boards.+ Create schematics, symbols, footprints, and complete PCB documentation packages.+ Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and firmware teams to ensure cohesive system-level design.+ Perform component selection, placement optimization, and signal-integrity-aware routing.+ Maintain version control and documentation for all PCB design assets.Essential Skills+ 5+ years of PCB design and layout experience.+ Recent experience with Altium.+ Embedded systems design experience with ARM based microcontrollers (ST, Microchip, Nordic Semi Micro).Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field (desired).Work EnvironmentThe position requires being onsite for 4 days a week with the possibility of 1 day remote. The work involves engaging in a mix of different projects, ensuring variety and dynamic work experiences. Each project or design typically lasts a few weeks at a time.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Medina, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
