EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Specialist 2 for the Department of Corrections, you will provide treatment services for alcohol and other drugs to the inmate population within both the Outpatient and Therapeutic Community Programs. You will conduct initial assessment interviews, make preliminary recommendations for programming needs, provide individual and group therapy, and monitor or coordinate self-help groups. Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (40-hour work week)Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $61,903.00 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
