This position is part of the Associate Administrator for Management and Budget, Department of Energy. The Deputy Director, Employee Management Relations Division located in Human Resources, Employee Management Relations Division and is recognized as the NNSA's pre-eminent authority on Performance Management, Personnel Security & Suitability, Employee Benefits, Employee Relations and Work Life Programs.As a Deputy Division Director/Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, you will:The Incumbent manages the work of the office through subordinate supervisors. The assigned supervisory and managerial duties and authorities are made more complex due to geographic dispersion of the subordinate staff and customer organizations, quickly evolving HR management policies and practices pertaining to Competitive and Excepted Service HR systems as well as General Schedule and Demonstration Project pay and performance systems; and the urgent, high technology, and national security nature of the work of NNSA.Serve as a Supervisory HR Specialist managing all operational aspects of the NNSA human resources (HR) program, specifically: employee relations, performance management, reasonable accommodation, anti-harassment, security and suitability, employee benefits, retirement, and work life balance programs to support NNSA.Employee Relations: Oversees programs addressing workplace issues, performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.Work Life Programs: Manages programs that focus on employee work life such as teleworking, work schedule flexibilities, health & wellness programs, and commuter subsidies.Benefits Administration: Administers employee benefit programs, including retirement, health insurance, leave policies, and wellness initiatives.
