Hospitalist Hybrid Physician - UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, Maryland We have a Hybrid opportunity for a BE/BC Internal Medicine Physician to join our well‑established Hospital Medicine service at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air! Practice Settings You would spend roughly 50% of your time as a member of our hospitalist team at UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. As a member of the hospitalist team, you’d be responsible for admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge. The other half of your time would be spent serving as an attending physician across several of our skilled nursing facility clients in Maryland, where you would perform exams and develop treatment plans, adhere to Adfinitas and facility’s policies and procedures, facilitate patient’s transition within and between healthcare settings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members. About the Role Full-service hospitalist practice at University of Maryland (UM) Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen Part of the University of Maryland Medical System University hospital with excellent specialty support Average 15 patients/day Closed ICU, our team is not expected to perform procedures or run codes Staffing Model: 23 providers; 12 physicians/11 APPs Day: 10 Physicians and 7 APPs Swing: 1 APP Night: 2 Physicians and 3 APPs EMR: EPIC Beds 257 Trauma Level – Level II Board certified/eligible in internal or family medicine Responsibilities include unit‑based rounding, swing shift covers admissions and new consults during day, dedicated nocturnists Requirements Board eligible/Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including use of email, are necessary in dealing with a variety of healthcare professionals, Adfinitas colleagues, family members, and patients.
