OverviewOur organization is seeking a skilled Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to become part of our established practice, Hill Country OBGyn, located in Austin. This role involves joining a dedicated team that emphasizes a collaborative approach to patient care. Each staff member is committed to ensuring that every patient's experience is personalized and significant.Position Highlights:Become part of a reputable practice that has been serving women in the Austin metropolitan area for over two decades.The practice team includes 8 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners, supported by an excellent administrative staff.This role is clinic-based, with no requirements for on-call duties, evening shifts, or weekend work.Responsibilities encompass seeing obstetrics and gynecology patients, managing charting, returning patient calls regarding lab results, providing patient education, electronically or telephonically sending prescriptions, and administering medications.Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic women's health issues.Provide counseling on contraception, fertility, and reproductive health alternatives.Manage a patient load of 20-30 individuals per day in the clinic.Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.Perform and assist with various minimally invasive procedures in the office, including pap smears, endometrial biopsies, and IUD placements.Assist physicians in scheduling major surgical procedures at the St. David's South Austin Medical Center.Compensation and Benefits:Attractive salary package.Generous paid time off.Annual CME reimbursement along with paid time off.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) plan with employer matching.Short- and long-term disability coverage, along with company-paid life insurance.Malpractice insurance provided by the organization.A supportive and appreciative workplace culture.Requirements:Certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.Active, unrestricted Texas NP license or the ability to obtain one.Current unrestricted DEA license or the ability to secure one.CPR, BLS, and NALS certifications or the ability to obtain them.Skilled in assessment and formulation of treatment plans.Strong communication skills with patients, team members, and management.Ability to make independent care decisions based on best medical practices without direct supervision.Preferred: At least one year of full-time experience as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.Location Highlights:Austin is frequently recognized as one of the top cities to live in the U.S., known for its pleasant climate, robust economy, and vibrant cultural scene.
