Our proprietary NBx platform delivers high-yield, high-purity plasmid DNA, the foundation for fast-growing markets in cell and gene therapies, RNA therapeutics, and vaccines.Now, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to expand our presence with biotech and CDMO partners, with a strong focus on New England (Boston-area) customers. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love being customer-facing, and know how to build relationships in technical markets, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.What You’ll DoOwn top-of-funnel business development in a full-cycle sales motion, with a strong emphasis on prospecting, networking, and conference-driven lead generation.Identify and engage new clients across cell and gene therapy, viral vector manufacturing, mRNA therapeutics, vaccines, and synthetic biology who need high-quality plasmid DNA for preclinical and early clinical programs.Represent Novel Bio at industry conferences and customer meetings, with about 50%+ travel, including frequent time in the Boston/New England region.Run high-touch discovery to understand customer programs, timelines, and decision criteria; position Novel Bio as a trusted partner.Collaborate with internal technical stakeholders to scope opportunities and support quoting and proposal development.Maintain rigorous pipeline and activity tracking in HubSpot, including deal stage, projected close dates, and expected deal value.Gather and share customer feedback to improve how we position, price, and deliver our services.Who Will Love This JobYou’ve spent 3–5+ years in a business development or technical sales role at a CDMO, CRO, or biotech service provider.You are experienced selling into cell and gene therapy ecosystems such as plasmid DNA, viral vectors, mRNA manufacturing, cell therapy services, or adjacent CDMO offerings.You have an understanding of plasmid DNA applications and production needs, spanning AAV and viral vector manufacturing, mRNA therapies, and CRISPR/Cas9 technologies.You are a proven “hunter”: persistent, outgoing, resilient, and energized by networking, outreach, and high activity.Highly organized and disciplined with CRM hygiene, follow-ups, and pipeline management.Collaborative and proactive; comfortable operating in a growth-stage environment where you may need to create clarity, not wait for it.LocationBoston / New England strongly preferred.
