Are you looking for your next opportunity?Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Vice President, Global Head of Accounts Payable in our Finance Operations team.We are seeking a Global Head of Accounts Payable to lead the execution, governance, and transformation of our Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes across a global, multi-entity organization. Reporting to the Global Head of Finance Operations, this role will drive operational excellence, strengthen financial controls, and support the continued evolution of our finance operating model.This is a high-impact leadership role focused on delivering efficient, standardized, and scalable accounts payable operations across regions.Location: This position will be based out of our London, New York or Purchase New York office. We strive for collaboration, which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long-lasting careers.Our Business, Your Impact, Our OpportunityWhat You’ll Be Doing…Own and lead the global end-to-end Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay processOversee invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment execution across regionsDrive standardization of AP processes, policies, and controls across marketsImprove cycle times, reduce manual effort, and enhance operational efficiencyPartner with Treasury and Finance to support cash flow optimization and payment strategiesEnsure accurate reporting, including AP aging, accruals, and payment forecastingMaintain a strong control environment and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirementsLead automation and technology initiatives in partnership with Finance Technology and ITBuild and develop a high-performing global team, fostering accountability and continuous improvementWhat You’ll Bring…10+ years of experience in accounts payable or finance operations, including leadership rolesStrong expertise in Procure-to-Pay processes, controls, and payment operationsExperience operating in global, multi-entity environments with complex vendor structuresProven track record of driving process improvement, automation, and standardizationStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on operational performanceExperience working with ERP systems, workflow tools, and financial reporting platformsAbility to influence and partner effectively with senior stakeholders across Finance and the businessBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldAt Sompo, we recognize that the talent, skills, and commitment of our employees drive our success.
