Material Handler (Equiptment Operator) - 1st Shift

Job DescriptionIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks at Southaven docks following established safety and quality standardsSupport receiving operations by separating, organizing, labeling, and staging incoming materialPerform put‑away of inbound freight to assigned rack, bin, or floor locations using RF scanningTransport and stage finished goods for outbound shipment in coordination with shipping schedulesOperate powered industrial equipment (forklift, cherry picker, tri‑loader) safely and in compliance with site‑specific proceduresAccurately complete material movements and transactions using handheld RF scannersPerform routine housekeeping to maintain clean aisles, dock areas, and work zonesFollow all Emerson safety requirements, including fall protection when working at elevated heightsMeet department quality, attendance, safety, and productivity expectationsAssist with training and onboarding of new team members as neededProvide operational support to other Southaven departments during peak or business‑critical periodsPerform other duties as assigned to support site operationsWho You Are:You take accountability for your work and consistently follow through on commitments while maintaining a strong focus on safety and accuracy. You collaborate openly with team members, share knowledge willingly, and contribute positively to team success.For This Role, You Will Need:Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions with limited supervisionSuccessful completion of Emerson‑required training and certification for powered industrial equipment, including forklift, cherry picker, and tri‑loaderComfort working at heights up to 20 feet while wearing required fall protection equipmentAbility to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and working on concrete surfaces for extended periods (8+ hours)Ability to accurately and efficiently use handheld RF scanning devicesCommitment to following all Company safety policies, procedures, and Southaven site guidelinesPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:Previous experience in receiving, put‑away, or outbound shipping operationsFamiliarity with warehouse management systems and RF‑based inventory transactionsExperience working in a high‑volume manufacturing or distribution environmentPrior experience supporting cross‑functional warehouse or production teamsOur Culture and Commitment To You:At Emerson, we believe safety, respect, and inclusion are essential to how we work.
