We build tiny technologies (MEMS) that empower tomorrow's innovations.Summary:Reporting to the VP of Product Development, the Application Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to key customers while also working with Engineering to help develop the next generation of our proprietary switch product. The Application Engineer will interface with Sales and Marketing to help promote the product and understand the best market fit using the current technology.This role requires the Application Engineer to reproduce in-house results on customer specific circuits. The Application Engineer would educate customers and prospects on how to use a MEMS switch in their application and how to best achieve the greatest gains by using a galvanically isolated mechanical micro-switch.This role requires strong technical and interpersonal skills to work with sales, marketing, and customers to support business growth.Responsibilities: Design, simulate, layout, test, and debug different RF and DC circuits and subsystems for various industries like wireless communications, industrial, and power electronics. Design evaluation boards and reference designs. Perform board-level tests and characterization for products. Identify differences and enhancements using our products vs. incumbent technologies. Demonstrate product performance and design requirements needed for implementation into customer's systems. Support sales and marketing activities and help vet incoming customers for the technical fit. Perform simulation/measurements necessary to support customer requests and help with product adoption. Work with engineering to create product supporting documents such as datasheets, application notes, and white papers. Identify the system level differentiators for using our product for the customers and work with Marketing to enhance our product's key contributions. Requirements: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience in power or RF electronics. Working knowledge of EM and circuit simulation tools like Ansoft HFSS, CST Studio Suite, Agilent Momentum, or similar. Hands-on experience with power supplies, oscilloscopes, amplifiers, LCR measurement systems, VNA, spectrum analyzers, power meters, etc. Ability to build relationships and influence outcomes. Works well in a smaller team environment. Ability to travel up to 20%.
