Enjoy the support, resources, and best practices that AMETEK has to offer while having the autonomy and flexibility to work on diverse teams and projects.Job Summary: The Business Segment Controller Programmable Power/IntelliPower is an impactful leader and the site finance lead for the Programmable Power and IntelliPower business segments. This position will be responsible for all financial reporting and analysis functions, operations reporting, compliance, and implementation of process improvements for the segments. This is a hands-on operational accounting role that requires strength in product cost accounting and inventory management in a manufacturing environment. You will be equally comfortable on the plant floor investigating production variances as they are creating and analyzing detailed balance sheet reconciliations. This position manages and coordinates the closure of financial systems and preparation of financial statements; coordination of monthly forecasts, working capital improvements and detailed financial analysis of products and customers, making recommendations for improved operating results. This role will also assist in monthly and quarterly financial reporting consolidation for the top-level business unit. This role reports to the DVP, BU Controller.Key Responsibilities:Provide financial and business leadership for the siteTrain, mentor, and coach the current team to be able to build a talent pipelineResponsible for the month-end closing processResponsible for the weekly/monthly orders, sales, profit & working capital forecastsReview monthly journal entries and reconciliations to ensure close timelines are metAccountable for product costing and profitability analyses by customer and productResponsible for all inventory management in relation to valuation (bill of materials, standard costs, and overhead rates), physical count accuracy and provisions for excess & obsolete inventoryResponsible for the completion of the annual operating budgetProviding financial leadership that leads to improved working capital managementResponsible for the reporting and improvement of various Key Performance Indicators (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash) and cash management activitiesReview capital expenditure requests to ensure within budget and capitalized timelyResponsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for the segmentsOversee all compliance with both Internal & External Audits for the segmentsImplement finance/accounting changes to improve productivity and reduce costsResponsible for implementing and overseeing a robust internal control environment and ensuring compliance with all SOX requirementsActively promote safe working practices leading to an injury-free workplaceMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance10 years of relevant experienceMinimum 3 years of experience as a manager or aboveStrong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and ASC 606 experience with monthly/quarterly closings; experience with compliance and documentationStrong cost accounting skillsDesired Qualifications:MBA and/or CPA preferredKnowledge of Hyperion Financial Management is a plusOperational experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferredA strong work ethic with a track record of achievementCommitted to achieving quality results through appropriate attention to detail and creativity; a disciplined problem-solving style; and a "hands-on" approach to workDemonstrate a team player mindset with a positive attitudeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPointAble to direct work with minimal supervision and towards multiple deadlinesWhat's in It for You:Competitive compensation, holiday pay, and paid time offGreat benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental insurance401(k), plus matchingFlexible spending accounts (FSAs), health savings account (HSA) with AMETEK contribution, life insurance, disability insurance, and family medical leaveEmployee referral programTuition reimbursement programEmployee assistance programExciting, fast-paced environment where you could make a true impactOpportunities for career advancement within our business unit and across all other AMETEK business entitiesCompensation:Employee Type: Salaried Salary Minimum: $170,000 Salary Maximum: $200,000 + Incentive: Yes
