Position: Test TechnicianLocation: Northampton, MAWork Model: 100% OnsiteEmployment Type: Full-TimeSchedule: 9/80 Work Schedule (Union Position)Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Secret Clearance (US Citizenship Required)The Test Technician 2 is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by performing testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and quality verification of electronic components, assemblies, and systems. This role works closely with engineers and production teams to ensure that products meet technical specifications and quality standards .The technician will perform RF, microwave, digital, video, and system-level testing , analyze operational data, and assist in improving manufacturing processes through testing and evaluation.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing & TestingPerform testing and troubleshooting of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies .Support engineers with equipment setup, calibration, and test configuration .Collect and analyze operational data using test systems and specialized software.Perform rework and adjustments based on testing results.RF / Microwave TestingConduct RF tests such as insertion loss, gain, and VSWR using RF test equipment.Assist in setting up and executing RF test procedures.Position Stabilization SystemsSupport testing of gyro stabilization and positioning systems .Use test equipment to verify system functionality.Assist with synchro nulling and gyroscope alignment during assembly.Communication & Data SystemsEstablish system connections and verify data communications and signal integrity .Confirm presence and performance of data streams and communication signals .Video SystemsConfigure and adjust video monitors and TV cameras used in testing systems.Identify and troubleshoot video faults such as:Loss of synchronizationVideo noiseIncorrect display settingsDigital Electronics TestingTest circuits using tools such as logic probes and digital test equipment .Analyze signals and verify proper integration of digital electronic components.Documentation & QualityWork with manufacturing documentation and procedures.Maintain accurate test records and documentation .Perform component-level and subassembly testing according to engineering drawings.Programming & System TestingProgram devices including microprocessors and microcomputers using defined procedures.Conduct unit-level and system-level operational testing .Required QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience , ORAssociate Degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related fieldExperienceExperience with electronic testing in a manufacturing environmentExperience working with electronic assemblies, circuits, or instrumentationRequired SkillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and data sheetsKnowledge of RF testing equipment and electronics testing toolsUnderstanding of digital electronics fundamentalsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong communication and documentation skillsPreferred SkillsKnowledge of SAP systemsFamiliarity with electronics manufacturing standards:IPC-A-610IPC-620J-STD-001Experience working in aerospace or defense manufacturing environmentsAdditional RequirementsMust be able to obtain a Secret Security ClearanceUS Citizenship required for clearance eligibilityAbility to work 100% onsite in Northampton, MARecruiter Submission Template:Full Name:Degree Major with University and Completion Year:Security Clearance Status (Active / Eligible / None):Years of Electronics Testing Experience:Experience with RF / Microwave Testing:Experience with Digital Electronics Testing:Experience with Video or Communication Systems:Experience Reading Technical Drawings / Blueprints:Experience with Manufacturing Test Equipment:Experience with SAP (if any):Knowledge of IPC-610 / IPC-620 / J-STD-001 Standards:Motivation / Reason for Relocation (if not local):Motivation / Reason for interest in this position:Contact Number:Email ID:LinkedIn Profile URL:Full Address (Street, City, State, Zip Code):Notice Period (in weeks):Current Work Authorization Status:Expected Salary:Are you able to relocate on your own expenses and work 100% ON-SITE in Northampton, MA?
