Experience is a plus—but not required.In a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting, PTAs play a vital role in supporting residents through their rehabilitation journeys. You'll be a guiding hand, a trusted support, and an essential part of our caregiving community. From assisting with therapeutic exercises to promoting mobility and independence, your daily work will have a lasting and meaningful impact.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical TherapistAssist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercisesImplement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needsMonitor resident progress and document outcomes accurately and timelyProvide education and support to residents and their families regarding therapeutic activities and home exercise programsMaintain a safe and clean therapy environment, ensuring equipment is used appropriatelyCollaborate with nursing staff, therapy teams, and interdisciplinary teams to support overall care plansEncourage resident participation and promote independence in daily functional activitiesQualifications for a Skilled Nursing FacilityCompletion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent PTA certification or license in the state of FloridaStrong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly or rehabilitating residentsAbility to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and other care team membersCompassionate, patient‐centered approach to careBasic understanding of rehabilitation principles and SNF regulatory guidelines (preferred)Ability to lift, support, and assist residents safely during mobility and therapeutic activitiesWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer!
