CNC Supervisor - Contract

Position Title: CNC Supervisor - ContractWage: $25.00 - $30.00/hourWe are seeking a highly skilled CNC Supervisor to spearhead our machining team in Elk Grove Village, IL. In this pivotal role, you will balance technical expertise with leadership, overseeing the setup and operation of CNC centers while mentoring a team of machinists. From low-volume prototypes to high-volume production, you will ensure every part meets our rigorous quality and safety standards.CNC Supervisor Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of machinists in the setup, troubleshooting, and operation of CNC machine centers Perform Manual Data Input (MDI) programming and monitor parts throughout the entire machining process Utilize manual gauges and instruments for precise inspections; interpret 2-D drawings and GD&T to ensure absolute accuracy Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives, Gemba walks, and daily activity tracking to optimize workflow Work closely with team members to solve technical issues and collaborate with management on project estimation and quoting Maintain strict adherence to all company safety protocols and quality proceduresQualifications for CNC Supervisor:3-5 years of CNC Machinist/Operator experience plus 3-5 years of CNC Programming experience High School Diploma or GED Proven ability to successfully lead and develop a team with varying skill levels Deep understanding of GD&T, 2-D drawing interpretation, and manual inspection tools High attention to detail, strong verbal/written communication, and the ability to manage confidential information Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work overtime as business needs require
