Construction Laborer

A&R Development Group is hiring a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer to assist our site development crews.Previous construction experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, follows directions, arrives on time, and wants an opportunity to learn and advance within the construction industry. This is a hands-on outdoor position that supports equipment operators, pipe crews, foremen, and other field employees. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities may include: Shoveling dirt, rock, and construction materials Raking and preparing graded areas Assisting equipment operators Spotting trucks and heavy equipment Assisting pipe and utility crews Setting up and cleaning job sites Moving tools, materials, and supplies Installing and maintaining erosion-control materials Helping establish and maintain a safe work area Performing general construction-related labor Completing other tasks assigned by the foreman or superintendent Qualifications Construction experience is helpful but not required Must have a strong work ethic Must be dependable and arrive on time Must be willing to learn and follow instructions Must be able to work well as part of a crew Must be able to perform physical outdoor work Must be able to lift and carry construction materials Must be able to work in Florida heat and changing weather conditions Reliable transportation to and from work is required Valid driver’s license is preferred Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate does not need to know everything on the first day.
