Manufacturing Engineer
Manufacturing Engineer Plastics operation is hiring for Manufacturing Engineer to work for an organization that is fast growing. Client has work-life balance, a great team culture and promotes within. This is a newly created position as they recently expanded the operation and is adding to staff. The Process Engineer will be self-direct, and be responsible for planning, implementing, improving, coordinating and owning the work activities for the engineering projects. Must come from an extrusion or plastic molding manufacturing environment. Local candidates only. Sponsorship and visa transfers are not available. Responsibilities:The Manufacturing Engineer (extrusion) will develop, initiate, and sustain extrusion Manufacturing Process evaluations and improvements Develop and implement new extrusion manufacturing processes Provide technical advice and expertise for the assigned manufacturing processes as well as related areas Problem solve and troubleshoot using scientific methods using data to support conclusions that result in permanent solutions Maintains manufacturing instructions and standards relative to production routings, safe work methods, and operation of machinery Leads Continuous Improvement initiatives for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Requirements:BA/BS degree is preferred or an equivalent of 5+ years of manufacturing / process engineering experience in a plastics, extrusion, molding, or related environments 2+ years of experience as a process or manufacturing engineer in a manufacturing facility is required; prefer plastic extrusion, extrusion (candy, metals, packaging) or other closely related manufacturing industries Must have experience with managing projects, streamlining processes, and using root cause analysis to solve problems Experience in a role working independently solving complex problems Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc)
