DevOps Engineer
Optomi, in partnership with a leading automotive technology organization, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support new infrastructure initiatives, application features, and deployment automation within a large-scale cloud environment.This is a hands-on engineering role focused on helping teams understand where applications and services should be deployed, improving infrastructure processes, and moving manual workflows toward automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong infrastructure background while also being comfortable partnering with software engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders.What You’ll Be Doing:Build and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily within AWS, with some exposure to AzureCreate and manage infrastructure as code using TerraformSupport Kubernetes environments and containerized applicationsUse Python to automate infrastructure, deployment, and operational processesSupport GitOps-based deployment practices using Argo CDHelp teams move manual infrastructure and deployment processes toward automated solutionsPartner with software engineers and business teams to understand what is being built and where it should be deployedSupport new application features and infrastructure initiativesParticipate in automated testing and deployment validationTroubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issuesContribute ideas and recommendations that improve automation, reliability, and engineering practicesParticipate in a fourth-level on-call rotation with approximately one to two escalations per weekWork under the direction and guidance of senior DevOps engineersWhat They’re Looking For:5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or a similar roleHands-on experience using Terraform to build and manage infrastructure as codeExperience supporting Kubernetes environments in productionStrong AWS experienceExposure to AzureStrong Python scripting experienceHands-on experience with GitOps and Argo CDExperience automating infrastructure, deployment, or operational processesExperience helping an organization move from manual processes to automated workflowsFamiliarity with automated testingAbility to understand application requirements and determine appropriate deployment environmentsStrong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and business teamsAbility to contribute technical ideas and thought leadershipLocation: Plano, TXWork Model: Hybrid, 3 days onsite per weekWork Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only
