Through compassionate care and a person-centered approach, we aim to make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.Position Overview:The Overnight Asleep Mental Health Worker supports RTI consumers by providing overnight supervision and ensuring a safe and stable living environment during sleep hours as part of RTI’s 24-hour service model.This is an asleep position in which staff are permitted to sleep during designated overnight hours but must remain available to respond to participant needs, mental health crises, or emergencies as outlined in each individual’s service plan.The Overnight Asleep Mental Health Worker provides supervision and support to individuals living in corporate foster care in accordance with each consumer’s Goal Plan, Coordinated Service Support Plan (CSSP), Individual Abuse Prevention Plan (IAPP), Self-Management Assessment (SMA), Person Centered Profile (PCP), and all other documents required under Minnesota DHS 245D regulations.Role Responsibilities:Support individuals in independent living skills through 1:1 service.Support individuals in mental health management through identifying coping skills, practicing coping skills, and alternative methods.Teach and model community integration skills such as self-managing medications, managing personal finances, appropriate interpersonal interactions, managing the public transportation system, completing the necessary tasks to maintain a home, and accessing community resources.Interacts informally with individuals to facilitate socialization and appropriate behavior.Participates in scheduled and spontaneous recreational events.Teaches healthy living habits and develops the accompanying skills.Required Qualification and Experience:The Mental Health Worker shall be qualified under Minnesota law as follows: High School Diploma or GED and relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree in related field.Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.Ability to pass the BCA Criminal Background Check and the Sexual Exploitation of Patients by Psychotherapist screen required by DHS.Ability to pass screening required by Federal Human Services office of the Inspector GeneralAbility to organize and work independently.Willingness to travel within the Metro Area, for applicable mileage reimbursements, with a current driver’s license, clean record, and personal vehicle with insurance; and able to transport clients in that vehicle.Possess a person-centered approach, consistent with the Philosophical approach of the individual program and RTIAbility to work with culturally diverse populations.Other, as needed, as company and role expand or evolves.Preferred Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences fields OR 2000 hours of supervised experience providing clinical services in mental health or children's emotional care.Benefits of Working at RTI:Retirement: 401(k) with company matching contribution.
