With a commitment to innovation, Virtuix continues to push the boundaries of XR and AI, delivering immersive experiences to users worldwide.Role OverviewVirtuix is looking for a full-time Application Developer at our Austin, TX headquarters to help build and improve user-facing applications across the Omni ecosystem. This role will initially focus on Omni Connect, our Windows and Android application for device connectivity, settings, diagnostics, movement processing, and SDK support.We are looking for someone with strong implementation skills and strong instincts for product quality and user experience. The architecture for Omni Connect is already largely defined, so this role will focus on execution, refinement, and continued improvement, while also contributing to other user-facing software projects over time.Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and improve user-facing applications across the Omni ecosystemBuild features for desktop, mobile, and web applications as neededSupport and improve Omni Connect on Windows and AndroidImprove first-time user experience, setup flow, diagnostics, and stats presentation across user-facing applicationsSupport features and integrations that provide processed and raw data to our SDKsCollaborate with internal team members to define and implement features that improve the overall Omni experienceQualifications:Must be able to work in-office in Austin, TX in a collaborative and creative environmentExperience building user-facing desktop, mobile, or web applicationsAbility to work across C++, Kotlin/Java, JavaScript, and TypeScriptAbility to take features from concept through implementation, debugging, and releaseStrong product and user experience instincts, with good judgment about what makes software feel polished and valuableComfortable debugging real-world issues across application logic, UI behavior, and device communicationAbility to design and implement clear, intuitive features and user flows2+ years of professional software development experienceNice to have:Experience developing applications for Windows and/or AndroidExperience with Qt, QML, or other cross-platform application frameworksExperience with mobile app development or web-based user interfacesExperience with Bluetooth-connected devices or hardware-integrated softwareExperience with software packaging, code signing, auto-update systems, or release distribution workflowsOur ideal candidate has many of the above skills, but if you are highly motivated, please apply anyway.
