IT Cyber Security AdministratorLocation: Valencia, CA Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and detail-driven IT Cyber Security Administrator to help strengthen and maintain our organization's cybersecurity and compliance posture. In this role, you will support the implementation of security controls, monitor for threats, and ensure adherence to key regulatory frameworks.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on security operations with user training, compliance support, and continuous process improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controlsAssist with compliance initiatives related to CMMC (Level 1 & 2), DFARS, and ITARCollaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure adherence to security standardsAudit security controls and processes to identify risks and gapsMonitor security systems and tools to detect and respond to potential threatsAssist with incident response activities, risk assessments, and remediation effortsDeliver security awareness training and guide end users on best practicesAdminister security tools, including: Password management systemsSecurity awareness training platformsSecurity monitoring / SIEM toolsTrack and improve user compliance with security protocolsIdentify opportunities to strengthen security posture and recommend improvementsStay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and trendsQualificationsRequired Experience5+ years of experience in Information Security or Cybersecurity3+ years of experience in incident response, risk assessment, or security operationsHands-on experience supporting compliance programs (CMMC, DFARS, ITAR preferred)Technical SkillsStrong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and threat detectionExperience with: Security monitoring tools (SIEM or similar platforms)Identity and access management solutionsSecurity awareness and training toolsSolid knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and data environmentsExperience with Microsoft-based environmentsCore CompetenciesStrong documentation and communication skillsAbility to train and support non-technical usersCritical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilityHighly organized with strong prioritization skillsProactive, solutions-oriented mindsetEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience) All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
