100% Remote Pharmacy TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team, focusing on supporting Medicare and Medicaid patients. This role involves working in the MedPharma environment, primarily handling the intake process for prior authorizations of injectables. Initially, you will set up prior authorizations in our systems and forward them to a review technician, with training provided for further review tasks.Responsibilities+ Manage the intake process for MedPharma prior authorizations.+ Set up prior authorizations in the system and forward them for review.+ Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient processing of authorizations.+ Read and interpret insurance criteria using Microsoft Suite.+ Engage in extensive reading to stay updated with relevant procedures and guidelines.Essential Skills & Qualifications+ Current pharmacy technician license.+ Experience in managed care and pharmacy settings.+ Proficiency in handling prior authorizations.+ Strong data entry skills and ability to manage claims and denials.+ Experience with appeals processes.+ Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid regulations.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
