Test Engineering ManagerLocation: Dallas, TXPosition OverviewSeeking an experienced Test Engineering Manager to lead electrical testing activities for substation control house projects. The role will supervise Test Technicians, coordinate project testing activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure testing is completed safely, accurately, and according to project requirements.ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate day-to-day electrical testing activities and technician assignments.Plan testing activities around project timelines and production requirements.Interpret electrical schematics, project specifications, and testing requirements.Develop and maintain test procedures, test plans, forms, and work instructions.Review testing documentation and ensure accurate completion and timely project record updates.Supervise and support technicians during testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.Perform hands-on functional testing of electrical protection and power distribution equipment.Troubleshoot failures involving protection relays, switchgear, breakers, control panels, communications, and HMI systems.Support testing of ATS, panelboards, fire alarm systems, HVAC-related electrical components, and other power distribution equipment.Investigate testing and quality issues and implement corrective and process improvement actions.Maintain testing equipment and ensure required tools are available and properly maintained.Promote electrical safety, quality practices, housekeeping, and compliance within the testing area.Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and reduce project testing time.Required SkillsTechnical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field.8+ years of electrical testing experience.Hands-on AC/DC functional testing experience.Strong experience with protective relays, MV switchgear, MV breakers, and arc-flash systems.Experience supervising or leading electrical testing technicians.Knowledge of NEC, IEEE standards, and electrical safety practices.Strong electrical troubleshooting and schematic-reading skills.NETA Certification preferred.Experience with substation or power distribution systems is highly preferred.
