W2 Only Location: Torrance, CAWork Type: Onsite – 4 Days per WeekPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives for AHFC Reporting Systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, SQL development, and enterprise data platforms. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting business intelligence solutions that drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development and data analytics.Expert-level experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, dashboard development, report optimization, and performance tuning.Strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects reporting tools.Advanced SQL development skills, including complex queries, joins, window functions, data transformations, and query optimization.Extensive experience writing and optimizing stored procedures.Hands-on experience with SQL Server, DB2, and Amazon Redshift databases.Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling.Proven experience troubleshooting reporting issues and optimizing slow-running reports and queries.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Roles & ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise Business Intelligence reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.Build advanced Power BI dashboards, visualizations, and data models to support business reporting needs.Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting solutions using SAP BusinessObjects.Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document reporting and analytics requirements.Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and high-performance data retrieval solutions.Perform backend data analysis across SQL Server, DB2, and Amazon Redshift environments.Design and optimize datasets, semantic layers, and reporting models for enterprise BI platforms.Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, reporting discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks.Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes to ensure reporting accuracy.Optimize SQL code, stored procedures, and database performance for analytical workloads.Partner with Data Engineering and Enterprise Architecture teams to align reporting solutions with organizational data strategies and standards.Support production BI environments and provide timely resolution of reporting-related incidents.Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and reporting best practices.Participate in system enhancements, testing, deployment, and ongoing support activities for BI solutions.
