Chief Operations Officer - Disability Services

Job Description Reports To: CEOClassification: Exempt Summary:Under general administrative direction, assists the CEO/President in the directing, controlling and managing of business operations; plans, organizes and directs activities of nursing divisions; oversees policy development and follow-through and performs other related work as required. Primary ResponsibilitiesCreate, coordinate and evaluate the programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting and conservation of assets.Develops strategic plans to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue.Assists in the planning, development and implementation strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company.Develop operational procedures, policies and standards.Review financial activities and statements to determine progress in attaining objectives.Evaluate performance of Executives for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company.Represent the company to the media, the public, legal entities and at formal functions.Develop the annual company report and present to CEO/President.Direct company planning and policy making committees.Other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities:Other duties as assigned by the CEO/President or Partners.Knowledge/Skills:Must have experience as a COOMust have experience in Healthcare with Disability Services specifically.Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures. Skilled in development of policy and procedure, short and long-term company goals. Ability to develop and deliver company presentations. Ability to identify funding sources.Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpretation skills. Ability to communicate and interact with officials at multiple levels and to work effectively with a wide range of colleagues/subordinates/superiors and clients in a diverse community. Ability to motivate others and simultaneously manage several projects.These are normally acquired through a combination of completion of a Bachelors or Masters Degree and seven to ten years of experience in a leadership role for a large organization.Work requires willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule and travel. Working Conditions:Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require frequent weekend and evening work. Work may require frequent overnight travel.
