Position Title: Material CoordinatorLocation: Hines, IL OR Lakewood, CODivision: Advancia TechnologiesIL Hourly Rate: 28.86 + 4.9 H&WCO Hourly Rate: 29.27 + 4.93 H&WPosition Summary**The hiring of this position is contingent upon contract award**Advancia Technologies, LLC is seeking a Material Coordinator to join our growing team. This position will be onsite in Hines, IL or Lakewood, CO. This position requires U.S. Citizenship with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.The Material Coordinator performs a range of warehouse and logistics tasks including inventory control, order fulfillment, equipment operation, and driving duties to support deliveries and material transfers. This role requires hands-on inventory management and interaction with various internal and external stakeholders.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' prioritiesReview production schedules and confer with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and locate materialRequisition material and establish delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of materialArrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departmentsExamine material delivered to production departments to verify if type specifiedMonitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system, using remote-control panel boardCompute amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and using an adding machineCompile report of quantity and type of material on handMove or transport material from one department to another using hand or industrial truckCompile perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production using manual or computerized systemMaintain employee recordsPerform inventory managementOrder picking and packingAssist with shipping, receiving, and transfersSupport efficient utilization of space and material resourcesTrack inventory in the VA's Inventory Management System (IMS)Conduct regular inventories, audits, and cycle countsInvestigate any inventory discrepancies and report findingsOperate material handling equipment such as stock chasers, electric cars, stretch wrapping machines, pallet jacks, rate shop systems/shipping systems, dollies, hand trucks, electrically powered stand up forklifts, order fulfillment systems, and mobile scanners.Drive company-provided vehicles to transport assets or materials between locationsLoad and unload materials for delivery or transferEnsure vehicle safety inspections and logs are completed prior to and after each tripCommunicate effectively with warehouse staff, personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth asset movement and inventory accuracyMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operationsAbility to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, sequencing, and knowledge of weights and measurementsAbility to communicate and work in a team environmentAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to maintain accuracy of less than one percent error rate for data and/or file operationsStrong attention to detailRead, write, and communicate using the English language at a level sufficient to perform job functionsValid State Driver's License with clean driving recordAbility to meet the security requirements for obtaining a badge (i.e., National Agency Checks with Inquiries)Ability to pass a drug screen and employment background checkAbility to pass a fit-for-duty testAbility to perform in a labor-intensive environment (see physical demands below) Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience supporting government contractsValid, state-recognized Forklift Operator CertificationExperience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or similar federal agenciesExperience operating material handling equipmentWorking Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normally subjected to inside (warehouse) environmental conditions, including exposure to varying temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Adherence to OSHA guidelines is mandatory, and as such, donning of protective equipment/gear may be required.Physical Demands (including but not limited to):Work requires regular and recurring physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and similar activities in and around distribution areas on a concrete floor. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. Must be able to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle. Position requires working long hours on one's feet and walking several miles per day is routine. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus with corrections if necessary.
