A hybrid work model with the option to work from home is possible.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include the conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines, including material procurement and construction support through line energization. The successful candidate will work under the direction and mentorship of a senior level engineer to develop design calculations, detail drawings, specifications, and other documents for the construction of power line facilities. Specific responsibilities include:Creating project scope documentsFinite element design modeling using PLS-CADD softwareEngineering design of structures and foundationsDeveloping loading, framing, foundation, and plan & profile drawing setsCreating staking sheets, sag charts, and other construction exhibitsProducing material and construction specificationsPerforming other design tasks as neededAssisting with the planning and execution of best-in-class projectsCoordinating with clients and stakeholdersTraining and mentoring design staffProject quality assurance and oversight of designers, drafters, and support staffMinimum RequirementsBachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering2+ years of design engineering experience, project engineering experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organization and planning skillsAbility to work in a team environmentCommitment to quality and accuracyWillingness to meet fast‐paced project schedulesPreferably a PE license or commitment to progress toward PE licensureFundamental knowledge of transmission engineering principles and applicable codes, standards, and design toolsExperience with basic project management execution skills and ability to oversee and direct design personnel on a project team is a plusOccasional travel/driving required; subject to client‐mandated drug and background checkingApplicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the futureBenefitsMedical, dental and vision insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth savings accountLife insuranceDisability insurance401(k), profit sharing and employee stock ownership planPaid vacation, personal days and holidaysPaid Parental LeaveContinued professional education reimbursementElectrical Consultants, Inc.
