CodeAdvantage is seeking after-school instructors who are available to teach our in-person coding, LEGO® robotics, video game design and other STEM classes! Do you love to explore, create, and play with video games, LEGO®, technology? Do you have a blast when helping children? If you said YES, then YOU are ready to join our excellent team of dedicated, creative, and fun CodeAdvantage instructors! Part-time, $25+/hour* (work is a few days a week, generally from 3pm onward) Advantages: • Build your resume and gain relevant and valuable work experience working with the National Leader in After-School Coding and Robotics Education • Have a blast inspiring the next generation of computer programmers, inventors, and creative thinkers! • Get a flexible schedule to fit your needs Key Responsibilities • Follow provided lesson plans for the creation of fun and cool projects • Oversee after-school classes in partner locations and create an engaging learning atmosphere • Maintain regular communication with CodeAdvantage Management team • Inspire students to have fun while creating STEM and coding/robotics projects Requirements • Experience working with kids and/or an enthusiastic attitude about helping kids learn new skills • Willingness to learn new kid-friendly programming platforms. Experience with Scratch Jr, Roblox Studio, Minecraft, and Scratch preferred but not required • Responsible, organized, and able to travel to after-school location • Undergrad/Graduate students, Teachers, Substitutes, gamers, and other interested applicants are encouraged to apply - (We especially need instructors who can teach in Marin County)*Extra Pay and Benefits • Base pay begins at $25/hour • Applicants with their own car that can drive to class will receive $30/hour plus mileage, parking, and tolls reimbursed. • Additional pay above base is possible based on instructor experience, seniority, and class size • Paid training
