Speech and Language Pathologist in Indian, AK

Provide specialized speech-language pathology services in a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite, full-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students' communication needs across approximately two elementary schools.Location: Indian, AKDuration: August 14, 2026 - May 27, 2027Schedule: 40 hours per week (8.5 hours/day with 0.5 hour unpaid lunch)Caseload: Approximately 47 students spanning two schoolsKey Responsibilities:Deliver speech and language assessments and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual student needsCollaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective intervention plansMaintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal guidelinesParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting and monitoringEnsure all services adhere to Alaska state certification and licensure standardsQualifications:Valid Alaska certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)Experience working in a school setting preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students and staffCommitment to enhancing student outcomes through evidence-based practicesAbility to manage caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of careBenefits of this role include gaining valuable experience in a supportive school environment and contributing to the development of young learners' communication abilities.
