Job DescriptionPosition SummaryGuggenheim Securities, the Investment Banking division of Guggenheim Partners, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our growing Houston Energy Investment Banking team. This role would provide support for our technical team in a variety of functions.Essential Job FunctionsWork closely with engineers and bankers to prepare technical marketing materials and support day-to-day execution of live dealsBuild, maintain and troubleshoot reserves databases for multiple concurrent client engagementsCollect and organize technical and economic data for models from public / private sourcesWork with engineers to support industry research, basin studies and benchmarking analysesCoordinate with GIS technicians to provide advanced data and ensure data attributes are up-to-dateManage virtual data rooms (including data uploads and user access permissions)Preferred Qualifications2-5 years of experience (banking / A&D experience preferred)Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high-quality work productStrong quantitative background and analytical skillsExpert with reserves database software (ARIES, PHDWin, ComboCurve)Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SQL, Spotfire and EnverusExposure and basic knowledge of ArcGIS, preferredStrong written and verbal communicationBasic QualificationsFour-year degree preferred or Associate’s Degree in Petroleum TechnologyTwo years oil and gas minimum experience requiredSIE Exam, Series 79 and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employmentWork LocationCurrently, this role is expected to be in the ­­­­Houston office at least 4 days per weekAbout UsGuggenheim Securities is the investment banking and capital markets business of Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm.
