This role requires advanced painting knowledge, attention to detail, leadership by example, and the ability to maintain consistent quality with minimal supervision.We are looking for professionals who take pride in workmanship, understand industrial finishing standards, and contribute positively to a high-performance production team.Position SummaryThe Senior Painter is responsible for performing advanced industrial painting operations while supporting production workflow, paint quality, troubleshooting, and department efficiency. This position requires strong experience with wet paint and powder coat systems, process setup, finish inspection, and production support activities.The ideal candidate is capable of handling complex painting tasks, performing high-quality touch-up work, supporting root cause analysis investigations, and assisting in the training and development of paint department personnel.ResponsibilitiesApply industrial wet paint and powder coat finishes to fabricated metal components and assembliesPerform touch-up work on critical or high-complexity parts without damaging finished productsPrepare paint mixtures and production materials according to specificationsPerform initial setup and adjustment of curing ovens for production operationsDetect, troubleshoot, and correct paint finish defects and inconsistenciesSupport root cause analysis investigations related to paint adhesion or finish quality issuesMaintain consistent finish quality and production efficiencyAssist in training and supporting Production Painters and Painter HelpersImplement and improve hooks, racks, and hanging methods to increase production efficiencySupport process improvement initiatives within the paint departmentMaintain clean and organized work areasFollow all paint procedures, quality standards, and safety requirementsSupport production schedules and overall department workflowPainting & Production SkillsAdvanced experience with industrial wet paint and powder coat applications requiredStrong understanding of industrial paint adhesion and coating quality standardsAbility to perform precision touch-up work on critical or complex painted componentsExperience identifying and correcting paint defects and finish inconsistenciesFamiliarity with curing oven setup and production flow optimizationAbility to analyze production issues and support corrective actionsExperience supporting training and development of paint department personnelStrong understanding of paint preparation, mixing, and application techniquesAbility to maintain high production consistency with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail, finish quality, and workflow efficiencyTools & Equipment UsedIndustrial paint guns and spray equipmentWet paint and powder coat systemsPaint preparation and mixing equipmentPaint booths and curing ovensHanging racks, hooks, and production fixturesCleaning equipment and solventsMaterial handling carts and racksPPE and safety equipmentQualifications5+ years of industrial painting experience preferredExperience with wet paint and powder coat systems requiredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesStrong understanding of industrial paint processes and finish quality standardsAbility to maintain productivity and quality in a fast-paced environmentExcellent attendance and reliabilityStrong work ethic and leadership mentalityBilingual in English and Spanish preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience with structural steel or custom fabrication projectsExperience training or mentoring paint department personnelFamiliarity with production improvement initiatives and workflow optimizationForklift experience is a plusIndustrial coating certifications are a plus, but not requiredCompensationStarting pay: $24/hourFull-time position40 hours guaranteed per weekStable long-term employmentOpportunity for professional growth within the companyPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and move materials regularlyAbility to bend, kneel, push, pull, and work in a physically demanding environmentAbility to work safely around paint equipment and production machineryWork EnvironmentThis position works inside a manufacturing and industrial paint facility.
